The Red Balloon opens open Thursday, May 20 at 8 p.m. with subsequent performances Friday – Sunday, May 21-23, 8 p.m., Wednesday – Sunday, May 26 – 30, 8 p.m., and 3 p.m. matinee performances on Saturday, May 22, Saturday, May 29 and Sunday, May 30.

Winner of 5 B.Iden Payne awards and 2 Critics' Table Awards in 2008, Tongue and Groove Theatre's THE RED BALLOON is an enchanting, whimsical and unique play for the entire family to enjoy. This multidisciplinary production, inspired by the famous French film from the 1950s, Le Ballon Rouge, integrates mime, dance, puppetry, animation and live, original music.
Tongue and Groove Theatre is a sponsored project of Austin Circle of Theaters. This project is funded and supported in part by the City of Austin through the Cultural Arts Division and by a grant from the Texas Commission on the Arts and an award from the National Endowment for the Arts, which believes that a great nation deserves great art.
